A Softer Chapter: A Note from Nikki
On finding clarity, embracing simplicity and the future of NDC Cosmetics.
When I think about the future of NDC, I keep coming back to one word: intention. Like many women, I've spent years balancing work, family, responsibilities and the everyday demands of life. And somewhere between taking care of everything and everyone, I've come to appreciate the importance of having a few moments that belong entirely to me.
Sometimes, that moment is as simple as moisturizing after a shower. It's nothing elaborate. Just a few minutes to slow down, care for my skin and get on with my day. That simplicity has become increasingly important to me. It's also changing the way I think about NDC.
When I started this brand, I wanted to create body-care products that people would enjoy using. As NDC evolved, so did my understanding of what I wanted this company to become.
I've learned that having more products doesn't necessarily create a better experience. That a beautiful fragrance matters, but so does the way a formula feels on your skin. And that understanding why you're using a product can be just as important as the product itself. I want NDC to reflect those lessons.
I'm no longer focused on creating more. I'm focused on creating with greater purpose.
That means putting our energy into two body-skincare essentials: Hydrating Body Oil and Daily Body Butter Cream. It means paying closer attention to formulation, texture, comfort and the details that make a product enjoyable to use. It also means sharing more of what we're learning through the Soft Rituals Journal, so you can make informed choices about your own body skincare.
Above all, I want NDC to be a brand that respects your time, your preferences and your individuality. Some days, you may want a little body oil after your shower. Other days, you may reach for a richer cream or layer both. There's no expectation that your routine needs to look the same every day.
Your skincare should work for you.
As I build this next chapter, I'm grateful for everyone who has supported NDC, shared feedback, made a purchase or simply followed along. There's more I want to create, more I want to learn and much more I want to share. But I want to do it thoughtfully.
Here's to a softer chapter.
With love,
Nikki
